ISO 9000 is a set of elements (or
requirements) against which the quality management system of
an organisation is evaluated. It is intended to be applicable to all types and
sizes of business, and is therefore worded in such a way as to be relevant to any type of
organisation.
ISO 9000 certification can be achieved by a company producing the poorest quality products in its marketplace, as long as that company always produces products of that standard. The fundamental principals of ISO 9000 are:
